About the firm
Capital with clarity.
Advisory with integrity.
“I built this firm around a simple conviction: that mission-driven organizations deserve independent advisory rooted in analytical rigor — and the confidence to act on it.”
Latitude Financial Management is an independent advisory and consulting firm providing two focused service lines: Impact Capital Advisory consulting services for nonprofits and foundations, and Institutional Financial Advisory services for public sector entities and higher education institutions. Latitude is registered with the SEC and MSRB as a municipal advisor. The firm does not offer financial products for sale, has no affiliated funds, and no institutional conflicts — only senior-level independent advisory attention on every engagement.
About the founder
“I built this firm around a simple conviction: that mission-driven organizations deserve independent advisory rooted in analytical rigor — and the confidence to act on it.”
I founded Latitude after more than 20 years working at the intersection of public finance, capital markets, and mission-driven institutions. I have served as Chief Financial Officer of a statewide public authority, where I led more than $3 billion in municipal bond issuances and managed complex operating, capital, and debt portfolios — including communication of financial information to governing boards, rating agencies, and investors.
I have provided market leadership in public finance investment banking, experience delivering traditional commercial banking services, and advised state level legislative leadership on state operating and capital budgets and fiscal policy.
That experience — sitting on the issuer side of major capital decisions, managing board and governance relationships, and navigating the full lifecycle of complex financial transactions — is what I bring to every client engagement. I understand how institutions make decisions, what it takes to build the analytical processes that support them, and how to communicate financial complexity in ways that give organizations the clarity to act with confidence.
Today my practice is focused primarily on Impact Capital Advisory consulting — helping funders analytically evaluate investment proposals, conduct credit review and financial due diligence, prepare materials for investment committee consideration, and establish post-investment monitoring and risk frameworks. I also provide Institutional Financial Advisory services to colleges, nonprofits, and public sector entities — supporting organizational financial planning, financial team development, and board and governance communications. I hold Series 54 and Series 50 municipal advisor licenses and maintain active registration with the SEC and MSRB as a municipal advisor.
What we do
Complementary practices unified by analytical independence and a commitment to mission-aligned outcomes.
We provide analytical consulting services to foundations and nonprofits engaged in impact investing — bringing institutional-grade financial discipline to the evaluation, due diligence, and monitoring of mission-aligned capital deployments.
We provide financial advisory and consulting services to nonprofits, colleges, and public sector entities — from organizational financial planning to board-ready communications.
Who we serve
We work with institutions that deploy capital and manage resources in service of a larger mission — across both our Impact Capital Advisory and Institutional Financial Advisory practices.
Private and community foundations deploying impact capital seeking rigorous analytical support for deal evaluation and portfolio monitoring — core clients of our Impact Capital Advisory consulting practice.
Nonprofit organizations served across both practices — Impact Capital Advisory consulting for those engaged in impact investing, and Institutional Financial Advisory for organizational financial planning and governance.
Higher education institutions seeking financial planning support, team development, and board-ready financial communications through our Institutional Financial Advisory practice.
Cities, towns, state agencies, and quasi-public entities served through our Institutional Financial Advisory and municipal advisory practices — including municipal debt advisory, financial reporting development, and governance communication support.
CFOs, executive directors, boards, and finance committees who benefit from an experienced independent voice across both Impact Capital Advisory and Institutional Financial Advisory engagements.
How we work
The same rigorous approach — whether the engagement is Impact Capital Advisory consulting or Institutional Financial Advisory.
We begin with an understanding of your organizational mission and how it ties to the engagement and strategic objectives — and pursue our work in that context.
We bring institutional-grade analytical standards to every question — whether conducting financial due diligence on an impact investment or stress-testing a five-year financial model.
We translate complex financial analysis into clear findings and recommendations that serve boards, investment committees, and senior leadership — not just finance professionals.
Our best engagements are ongoing advisory relationships where we build deep familiarity with your organization and serve as a trusted resource across decisions over time.
“Clients receive executive level experience and participation on every engagement. That is a deliberate choice, and it is the foundation of every client relationship I build.”
Executive level experience present at every meeting, every deliverable, and every call — whether the work is Impact Capital Advisory consulting or Institutional Financial Advisory. This ensures the depth of experience that complex financial decisions and those that must make them deserve.
